Players were given a sneak peek at the “Dani & Danny vs. Everybody” mission when the Far Cry 3 DLC, which stars Danny Trejo, accidentally went live in early November by mistake. Ubisoft pulled the plug on the content shortly after it was incidentally released, claiming it was a “work-in-progress” that needed more time in the oven than they had available.
Many commentators expressed dissatisfaction with the series’ perceived stagnation when Far Cry 6 was released in October to mixed reviews. In addition to following the traditional Ubisoft open-world template, the new game takes some significant steps in a new direction, with plot and character upgrades that feel a step above the likes of Far Cry 4 and its mainstream follow-up. It appears that post-launch support will be strong as well, owing in large part to the recent release of the Vaas: Insanity DLC, which provides players with a roguelike experience unlike any other in the series’ history. Far Cry users now have even another piece of material to savor and delve into.
Following its removal from the game earlier this month, Ubisoft has re-released the Danny Trejo DLC for Far Cry 6 for free across all platforms. According to VGC, the “Dani & Danny vs. Everybody” content includes two different missions, the first of which has the protagonist Dani Rojas teaming up with the actor to combat soldados who don’t approve of Trejo giving away his world-famous tacos to the poor. The second mission has the protagonist Dani Rojas teaming up with the actor to combat soldados who don’t approve of Trejo giving away his world-famous tacos to the poor. The second mission takes the guise of a Special Operation, in which the Machete star provides assistance to students who are revolting against Antón Castillo’s rule. A motorcycle with a Gatling gun mounted on its sidecar is also available to players who join Trejo in the fray.
Danny Trejo appears to be a solid fit for Far Cry 6 based on the footage shown above. The part of the unrelenting Antón Castillo played by Giancarlo Esposito isn’t the only well-known actor to make an appearance in the latest installment, though.
The plans for post-launch DLC for Far Cry 6 by Ubisoft, on the other hand, do not stop there. There are two more additions included in the Season Pass, both of which focus around prior franchise antagonists – Pagan Min from Far Cry 4 and Joseph Seed from Far Cry 5. Currently, the publisher had not provided any information about the release dates for these specific DLC packs.
