When Takemichi wakes up, he is in the hospital. When Koko comes, he informs him that he has been unconscious for three days. Mikey thrashes Takemichi, and Takemichi is bewildered as to how he’s still alive. According to Koko, Senju saved him by bowing to Mikey. To end the War of the 3 Deities, she recommended disbanding Brahman. As a result, the Kanto Manji Group is still the most powerful gang in Japan. Takemichi ponders incidents from the past. Mikey is planning to kill Takemichi; Takemichi detects a difference in Mikey. He’s baffled as to what he’s doing now.
When Chifuyu enters the chamber and informs Takemichi that he is at Draken’s funeral, he is taken aback. Chifuyu is still reeling from the events of the day, and he vents his frustrations on Takemichi. He’s perplexed as to why he’s in the past when he met Draken in the future, and everything seemed to be OK. He yells that Draken’s absence is owing to Takemichi’s fault, but before continuing the sentence, he apologizes. Takemichi responds that everything is good and acknowledges that he is to blame for everything. He asks Chifuyu to leave him alone for the time being.
Chifuyu advises him to improve quickly before departing. When Hina sees Chifuyu, she is perplexed as to why he is already on his way out. Meanwhile, Takemichi promises to himself that this conflict will be a personal one and that he will not engage the others in it.
