Takemichi is in the hospital when he awakens. Koko arrives at his side and informs him that he has been unconscious for three days. Takemichi recalls Mikey thrashing him, and he’s baffled as to how he’s still alive. Senju saved him by bowing to Mikey, according to Koko. She proposed disbanding Brahman in order to resolve the War of the Three Deities. As a result, the Kanto Manji Gang remains Japan’s most powerful gang. Takemichi muses on the events of the past. Takemichi senses a shift in Mikey and realizes that Mikey is planning to kill him. He’s now perplexed as to what he’s doing.
Takemichi is surprised when Chifuyu enters the room and informs him that he is at Draken’s burial. Chifuyu is still reeling from everything that has transpired, and he takes it out on Takemichi. He wonders why he’s in the past since he met Draken in the future, and everything was well. He exclaims that Draken’s absence is due to Takemichi’s responsibility, but he instantly apologizes before completing the sentence. Takemichi replies it’s fine and admits that he is to blame for everything. For the time being, he requests Chifuyu to leave him alone.
Chifuyu tells him to get better soon before leaving. When Hina sees Chifuyu, she wonders why he’s already leaving. Meanwhile, Takemichi vows to himself that he will not engage the others in this war and that it will be a personal one.
