The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, released in 2015, is the third game based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s series of fantasy novels. The popular role-playing game follows superhuman monster-slayer Geralt as he traverses the world in quest of his adoptive daughter Ciri and battles the ancient evil known as the Wild Hunt.

Earlier this week, Reddit user RussianNixon published an odd Witcher 3 gameplay clip in which Geralt engaged in traditional sword combat against a gang of bandits. When the White Wolf decapitates one of the opponents with a stylish swipe of his steel blade, his severed head strikes his last remaining friend and knocks him out dead as well; the conflict comes to a violent and abrupt finish. Other players in the comments section have since debated whether the final enemy was killed by the head itself or if Geralt’s sword swing struck both enemies at the same time (both are possible based on the footage), but either way, RussianNixon has pulled off an impressive double kill for the record books.
The Witcher 3’s many hidden mysteries and replay value are a godsend to those who want to play through more of Geralt’s monster-hunting escapades, as CD Projekt Red has stated that another Witcher game will be a long time coming – if it ever occurs at all. Meanwhile, The Witcher 3’s long-awaited update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X has been delayed until early next year, most likely due to CDPR’s ongoing work correcting the numerous issues and glitches that afflicted Cyberpunk 2077 during its disastrous November debut. According to rumors, CDPR has been recruiting fan modders to work on the current-gen update, and the company has announced that The Witcher 3 will receive further DLC based on the hit live-action Netflix series starring Henry Cavill.
