After seeing Ryusui, he approaches Senku and inquires about the legend of a knight who pledged an oath to guard the princess. He, too, was smitten by her. Senku is perplexed as to why he is being asked so many questions. To finish the tale of the knight, Ryusui tells him his own storey.
It’s not a fairy tale, but the storey is. The princess had no choice but to comply with her responsibilities. A prince was also required of her. Her country required that she marry one of the many men who came to propose to her.
