The Game Awards 2021 presented a stunning new gameplay clip for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Rocksteady Studios, best known for the Batman: Arkham trilogy, is working on the open-world superhuman shooter. The Game Awards have given gamers their first glance at the gameplay of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which DC Comics fans were given a closer peek at back in October.
New Rocksteady comic follows DC Comics’ motley team as they strive to take down the Justice League. Instead of making Task Force X’s mission difficult to comprehend or sympathise with, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League makes its mission understandable and palatable. Due to the brutal nature of Superman and his allies, players are forced to traverse an open-world Metropolis in order to take them down. When it comes to the third-person shooter, Task Force X’s members will bring their own unique talents to the table. However, Rocksteady’s next release, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s true nemesis, Brainiac, will no doubt lead to a final battle with the intergalactic villain.
At the Game Awards 2021, the first gameplay trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was shown and has since been uploaded to YouTube by GameSpot. The Squad’s fight against The Flash, who mocks their efforts to brutalise him, is the focus of the dramatic trailer. In battle and in traversal, each member of the team has a unique set of skills to bring to the table. King Shark mounts walls and jumps across rooftops like it’s nothing, while Harley Davidson flies through the air like a bird. Captain Boomerang’s teleportation powers let him keep up with Flash and manoeuvre across Metropolis while Deadshot’s jetpack provides him with an advantage over his foes.
Rocksteady’s latest DC Comics adaptation will centre on the Suicide Squad, but the Justice League will also play an important role. Brainiac has corrupted the likes of Superman, Flash, and Green Lantern, making them formidable enemies for players to overcome. Despite this, Wonder Woman has been shown in trailers, and it looks that she is an ally of Task Force X. It is possible that Batman or Aquaman will appear in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League; so far, these characters have not been mentioned.
With the success of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham trilogy, there was a lot of anticipation for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. It’s hard to deny that the attention to environmental detail and great writing is still important in this studio’s latest third-person shooter. Fans will be eager to join Task Force X when Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League comes in 2022 following this gameplay reveal at The Game Awards 2021.
