One of the three Royal Guards of the Chimera Ant King, Neferpitou, or Pitou, is the first of the Ant King’s offspring. In addition to Pouf and Youpi, who is also known as Shaiapouf and Menthuthuyoupi, Meruem’s three faithful protectors as he plots to conquer the globe. Chimera Ants serve as the Royal Guards, and their sole purpose is to guard Meruem. However, after encountering Komugi, a blind Gun-gi player who has defeated the King in all of their battles, the Royal guards begin to become concerned. It is Pitou’s responsibility to ensure that the King’s path is clear, no matter what the circumstances.
Who Neferpitou is?
In addition to being a Cat Chimera Ant, Neferpitou was also one of the oldest members of the Royal Guard. The manga and anime never reveal Pitou’s true gender, therefore for the sake of consistency, we’ll refer to them as they/them throughout this page. According to the databook, Pitou is a man, however, there has been a lot of confusion regarding this. Only the safety of the King was a concern for Pitou and the other two. As other Royal Guards disliked Komugi for making the King lose focus on his main purpose, Pitou was the only one who cared about the King’s protection.
In Pitou’s heart, King Meruem and what he wanted were the most important things. Pitou demonstrated their susceptibility when Komugi was recovering from Zeno’s Dragon Drive. Gon was enraged over Kite’s death, and they knew they couldn’t stand a chance against him. As a result, they decided to give up, which is a major decision for a predator. Because of their devotion to the King, even in this situation, they put the King’s desires ahead of their own.
Is Neferpitou going to die in Hunter x Hunter, or will he survive?
Gon killed Neferpitou in retaliation for killing Kite, who Pitou had killed. When Komugi is proven to be safe, Pitou and Gon engage in a duel, which was their initial plan. While Gon and his pals are seeing Pitou, he requests them to help him bring back Kite’s life. Pitou’s nen enables them to perform this feat. When they arrive at the spot where Kite’s body rests, they announce that they cannot revive Kite, which makes Gon inconsolable. After Pitou tells Gon that they must murder him, which enrages him, he expends all of his Nen so that he can get old enough to bash Pitou up.
Pitou learns that he has exhausted all of his Nen and is no longer a danger to the King after viewing the older form of Gon. Even in their final moments, Pitou is concerned about the safety of the King, which demonstrates how much he cares about him. After Gon brutally represses Pitou, the latter rejoices when they learn that they would die instead of the King. Once Pitou’s skull is broken, Gon begins pounding on it. Even after they died, Pitou’s Nen remained activated in their corpses as a tribute to the King. Using their Nen’s dead body, they assault Gon, who loses one of his arms in the process. Fortunately, Killua comes just in time to stop Gon from being slaughtered by Pitou’s corpse.
Even in their final moments, Pitou and Meruem’s devotion to the King was so deep that they were willing to die for the sake of the king.
