Cosplaying as the blacksmith Wagner from the video game Genshin Impact, a dedicated fan shows his appreciation for the game’s non-player characters. The cast of characters in miHoYo’s open-world role-playing game includes both playable companions and non-player characters like shopkeepers and blacksmiths. Players of the popular video game Genshin Impact have taken to dressing up as their favourite characters to show their support for the game.
Developer miHoYo is constantly adding new content to Genshin Impact, such as new characters, locations, and quests, to keep the game fresh. In the game’s Wish mechanic, players can spend resources to get a chance to unlock a new hero, resembling a gacha vending machine.
In order to keep up with the ever-expanding roster, dedicated cosplayers are given the opportunity to create a never-ending supply of new costumes. Genshin Impact’s world of Teyvat features a wide range of abilities, from earth-bending Geo users to fiery Pyro warriors. Using digital effects, for example, a cosplayer of Genshin Impact’s Hydro-wielding Mona creates an uncanny resemblance to her watery spells.
DrKumori, a Reddit user, has created a cosplay of Mondstadt’s NPC blacksmith Wagner instead of the game’s playable characters. Due to his ability to craft 4-star gear, the grumpy craftsman may not play a major role in players’ journeys through Teyvat. As Wagner intended, DrKumori has faithfully reproduced Wagner’s white tunic with three apron pockets, his forging hammer, and his facial hairstyle. He even recreates Schulz’s Blacksmith Shop, complete with a stack of swords leaning behind him and a red light reflecting from the non-player character’s forge.
Genshin Impact has a slew of endearing characters for players to fall in love with, and there will be more to come. Two new playable characters, Shenhe and Yun Jin will be added to Genshin Impact’s 2.4 updates soon, and they’re sure to impress fans with their abilities and personalities. Shenhe is a 5-star Cryo user who hails from an exorcist clan. The stage director of the Yon-Han Opera Troupe is Yun Jin, a 4-star character who wields a Geo. Genshin Impact fans can expect to see a slew of cosplays based on these two new characters, each with their own distinct look and feel.
DrKumori pays homage to one of Genshin Impact’s less well-known NPCs by dressing up as the ill-mannered Wagner and creating an absolutely stunning costume. Cosplaying as a playable character is extremely popular, but DrKumori has instead forged himself into the unhappy blacksmith. Cosplayers can bring Wagner to life in a completely unexpected way thanks to a stunning backdrop that resembles the roaring forge of a blacksmith.
