There are some strange grapes in the new Final Fantasy XIV update Endwalker, prompting many gamers to make fun of its odd shape. Endwalker, the game’s latest expansion, has some curiously shaped grapes, according to keen-eyed Final Fantasy XIV Online fans. New content for Square Enix’s hugely popular MMO was made available for early access on December 3 and will be made available to everyone on December 7.
Endwalker, the fourth Final Fantasy XIV expansion, will bring Hydaelyn and Zodiark’s narrative to a close. The storey began with the introduction of the game in 2010. Additional material, including the introduction of the male Viera race, is included in the expansion’s release, along with the conclusion of the decade-long storey. A DPS class called Reaper and a healer class called Sage are also included in Endwalker. Endwalker, the game’s most recent addition, will include far more cutscenes and narrative content than its predecessor, Shadowbringers.
In a screenshot from the game’s newest addition, a Reddit user who shoot the movies noticed some strange grapes. Several clusters of juicy purple grapes hung from the vines in the photograph. To make matters worse, when it came to creating the fruit itself, the level of detail on the model was laughably low, with only the texture of the fruit being represented. Final Fantasy XIV players were amused by the bizarre grapes, which prompted many to join in on the fun and make fun of the game’s low-quality graphics and its bizarre shape.
According to several Redditors, the grape’s crystal-like shape looks a lot like the Mothercrystal, the most important character in Final Fantasy XIV’s plot. People responded by turning Hydaelyn’s most famous statement from her book into a fruity cocktail called “Hear.Feel.Think.Drink.” As another Redditor pointed out, “Sauvignon Block” grapes are known for their oddly shaped clusters. Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida has indicated that using more detailed in-game decorations may harm the game’s performance, which may explain why the low-res grapes are amusing to observe.
However, Final Fantasy XIV’s fanbase seems amused rather than outraged by Endwalker’s grapes, which is a nice change of pace from the previous games. As a result of the massive amount of interest in the game’s most recent addition, players hoping to get a closer look at the grapes may find it impossible to log in. To compensate players for the persistent server congestion, FFXIV has announced that it will give them free playing time. There will likely be many more interesting tidbits to learn as players move through Endwalker’s big updates to the epic MMO.
