ACNH Players Are Infesting Villager Homes With Bugs On Purpose

Animal Crossing: New Horizons gamers may now go all out when it comes to remodeling their houses, thanks to the game’s latest DLC, Happy Home Paradise. Animal Crossing: New Horizons gamers are intentionally triggering bug infestations for their villagers because of the new Happy Home Paradise DLC’s home makeover mechanism. In early November, Nintendo’s social simulation game Happy Home Paradise received a completely new DLC pack.
Happy Home Paradise is a new island that acts as a vacation resort for gamers, with roughly 30 different plots of land. In each of these areas, players can build and create holiday homes for the villagers. As an example, a home office concept and three must-have goods are all that the villager asks of the player during the customization process. However, the player has complete control over the rest of the interior design. Players of Happy Home Paradise are stretching the bounds of in-game inventiveness, with one ACNH player building the set of The Office. With access to the full Nook Shopping Catalogue, gamers have virtually limitless options for what they can construct.
Polygon reports that the latest Animal Crossing craze involves users decorating their holiday houses with bugs. A Reddit user posted a video of themselves releasing a tarantula into the yard of a villager on vacation. Moose was given “six scorpions and a trashed house” by another player, who posted a series of images. Villagers and other NPCs appear to be unaffected by certain issues, which are deadly to any player (and not all bugs are dangerous, either). Because of this, their actions appear to be innocuous. No one knows what’s driving these bug invasions, but the gamers that participate in them seem to be trying to push Animal Crossing’s and their villagers’ patience to the breaking point.
Despite the fact that these bug-related design selections can make a villager’s vacation home appear uninviting, the presence of specific bugs can enhance a home’s overall appearance. Some participants opted for a more ethereal aesthetic by scattering bugs like fireflies throughout their grounds. It’s not uncommon to see beautiful outcomes from home remodelling in the Happy Home Paradise DLC, as there are now so many ways for gamers to customize their villages.
Adding the latest Animal Crossing DLC to the game does more than just allow players to change the look of villagers’ houses. The inclusion of Happy Home Paradise’s unique style to the Animal Crossing: New Horizons universe is much-needed. However, given that gamers are now utilizing their ingenuity to destroy rather than improve their homes, it’s possible that this inventiveness isn’t necessarily a positive thing.
