The final form of Eren Jaeger in Attack on Titan is the most harrowing Titan in both his appearance and the horrific activities Eren is taking.
Attack on Titan’s Titans are among the terrifying manga monsters ever, but none is more dreadful than Eren Jaeger’s last Titan form. The first time Eren went on a Titan-killing mission, he was eaten by a Titan and found that he had the might of a Titan. To this day, he continues to struggle for humanity’s existence, facing Titans of various shapes and sizes as well as other Titans that can alter themselves. Finally, Eren pushes his abilities to the extreme and becomes the very thing he pledged to destroy in the series’ concluding act in a really horrific form.
While Eren and his people are engaged in a long-running conflict with the Eldian people on Paradis Island, a fascist state known as Marley has been killing and converting Eldians into Titans for generations. Eren used the combined power of what he received as a child and that which he collected as an adult after swallowing other human-Titans to finish the conflict once and for all in the attack that wiped out eighty per cent of humanity.
As soon as Eren realised the walls of Paradis Island were lined with Colossal Titans, he used his power to instruct them to attack Marley. Attack on Titan’s most powerful Titans was manipulated by Eren into a twisted skeleton-like creature that towered over his almighty army. The final version of Eren resembled more his Attack Titan form, albeit being about the size of a Colossal Titan. Before seeing Eren’s human body within his Titan form, readers thought his prior Titan was more terrible.
When a human assumes the monstrous appearance of a Titan, their physical body is preserved by being buried in the Titan’s nape, where it remains hidden from view. Eren’s human body is completely absorbed by the Titan’s physiology as he achieves his final state. In this form, Eren retains his human head, but it is suspended from the Titan’s throat by a snake-like extended spine attached to the back of the Titan’s throat.
As horrific as Eren’s second to final incarnation may be, nothing can compare to the horrible transformation of Eren’s human body in his final form. His final form made him the monster he appeared to be because of Eren’s actions. Ultimately, Eren is hailed as a hero for uniting the globe after his genocidal crimes and for eliminating the Titans from the planet through his demise have been remembered. Though his greater duty required him to take extreme measures, the Titan form he assumed while carrying out the nearly cataclysmic act made it even more terrible. The final form Eren Jaeger in Attack on Titan, is the most horrific Titan in appearance as well as action.
