Recap of Chapter 232
Before we get into the spoilers for chapter 233, let’s revisit what happened in chapter 232, titled ‘It Takes Two to Tango.’
Chapter 232 picks off directly where the previous chapter, chapter 231, left off, with Mikey and South approaching one another, preparing for a full-on brawl. Given the exhaustion of the other main fighters, no one can stop these two from going all out.
Senju attempts to convince Mikey to move aside because South is her adversary, to which Mikey responds, “You want to die next?” South, eager to confront Mikey, rushes in and attempts to attack but is stopped by a fast kick from Mikey, knocking him backwards. The two then go all out, exchanging fists and kicks, and South contemplates how he has finally met someone with whom he can fight and enjoy himself.
Takemitchi, who is aware that South will perish, leaps in the road and attempts to convince Mikey to stop. Otherwise, as evidenced by his bleeding visage, South will perish. Mikey tells Takemitchi, “You’re in my way,” before snapping Takemitchi’s arm! Mikey concludes the chapter by asking South how she wishes to die as Takemitchi begs Mikey to refrain from doing so while holding his injured arm.
Chapter 233 Contains Spoilers
Now that we have caught up let us move on to chapter 233. Warning, however, while some raws for the future chapter have already been released, there are verified spoilers below.
This chapter contains a number of significant events, so if you wish to wait until the official release to read it, this is your final warning! Now, let’s get into Chapter 233 of Tokyo Revengers, which is titled ‘Better late than never.’
This week’s chapter begins with a slight diversion from the events of the previous chapter. To begin, we see that the conflict has ended, but Mikey is not yet finished with South. Indeed, he continues to pound his fist into South’s temple until Takemitchi enters to inquire about South. South does not respond to Takemitchi’s repeated calls for his name, and when Takemitchi checks on him, he discovers South is dead.
With the fight done and the South dead, Rokuhara and Brahman members prepare to depart. Brahman was defeated by Rokuhara, and Rokuhara was defeated by the Kantou Manji gang or just Mikey. Thus, the Kantou Manji gang is the victor in this conflict. Kakucho, who is regaining his senses as Ran Haitani drags him away, inquires about the South. Ran responds that they must leave quickly.
Returning to Takemitchi and Mikey, Takoemi approaches Mikey and informs him that going that far with South was a mistake. Mikey quickly turns his attention to Takeomi and tells him that he, too, should die and kicks him, but before he can do the job, Takemitchi runs in and tells him to stop.
Mikey strikes at Takemitchi and sends him flying, walking towards him. “Do you wish to die as well?” Mikey inquires. Koko, who is now quite frightened by Mikey’s behaviour, attempts to intervene and inform Mikey that the war is finished and he may stop. Mikey, on the other hand, completely disregards him and approaches him, asking, “How do you wish to die?”
Mikey then begins to pummel Takemitchi, striking him repeatedly until he coughs up blood and bleeds all over his face. Senju, who was hurt on the floor throughout this struggle, begins racing up to Takemitchi, shouting his name as she attempts to run over him. However, she may be too late, as the chapter closes on a dramatic cliffhanger, with Mikey’s fist poised to strike and Takemitchi barely whispering, Mi….key.
We are ending the chapter on a high note and leaving all of us readers in suspense as to what might happen next.
