We see snatches of Minato Namikaze as the Fourth Hokage in Naruto. Minato is Naruto’s father and is also known as “Yellow Flash.” Before becoming the Hokage, he was one of the best ninjas and played a key role in the 3rd Shinobi War. He inspired Kakashi, Obito, and Rin as a mentor as Sensei. But it was when Kurama, the nine-tailed fox, was set loose on the night of Naruto’s birth that he played the most pivotal part.
In Naruto Shippuden, we learn more about Minato and his background. It was quite disappointing that in the first part of the series, such a great ninja’s combat technique was only known through words. However, as the storey progresses, we have a better understanding of what a wonderful ninja Minato was. As a result, I’m confident we’d agree on one thing: we’d pay to watch “Minato – Naruto’s Preceding Generation.”
Minato’s Ending:
We know that the Fourth Hokage died by sacrificing himself to save the town from the very first episode. Naruto Shippuden tells the complete narrative of how he dies. In order to preserve the community and their kid, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki sacrificed themselves when they had no other choice. Even though they are no longer present, they continue to protect Naruto.
Kushina was the jinchuriki, or medium, who carried the nine-tailed demon fox within her. It was critical for her to be safeguarded while she was pregnant with Naruto. Especially during childbirth, when the seal that kept the demon sealed was at its weakest. Kushina gave birth to Naruto on the night of October 10th.
When a man wearing an orange mask (Tobi) appears, the pleasant moment is cut short. He kidnaps infant Naruto from Minato, who was preparing to tighten the seal at the time. Unfortunately, after being forced to teleport with the infant due to a tough scenario, Tobi kidnaps Kushina in order to extract the nine-tailed demon fox from her. Meanwhile, Minato and Naruto return to the hidden spot. He abandons the infant and flees to save his wife, who is on the verge of being slaughtered by the Nine-Tails. Tobi intends to call the nine-tails in order to destroy Konoha, Kushina confesses. He prepares to enter the battle after dropping Minato off to a soundly sleeping Naruto.
How did Minato pass away?
The Nine Tails had already been summoned into the town at this point. Minato and Tobi engage in a one-on-one brawl over here. Minato quickly demonstrates why he is known as the “Yellow Flash.” The Nine-Tailed Beast, on the other side, was prepared to throw the Tailed Beast Ball into the hamlet. Minato devises a strategy and teleports the beast, Kushina, and Naruto outside of the settlement. Kushina then utilises the Adamantine Sealing Chain, an Uzumaki clan-specific technique, to keep the tailed beast in place.
It is well known that if the tailed beast is separated from its medium, the medium will die. Kushina begged Minato to reseal the beast inside her so that he could die with her because she only had a few moments left, but Minato had other ideas. Tobi chooses to use the chakra of the nine-tails by stealing half of it from baby Naruto and the other half from him, knowing that he will return someday to destroy the village. He utilised the Death Reaper Seal for this. Death is a catch to this seal since the soul is locked in the Reaper’s belly for all eternity.
The nine-tailed beast, on the other hand, became aware of Minato’s plot and decided to murder Naruto before Minato could lock the remaining half of the beast’s chakra in him. As a result, Kushina and Minato jumped in to protect their infant from the beast’s claws. Their demise was heartbreaking because they said their final goodbyes to their kid with some heartfelt comments. They also used the last of their chakra to seal a piece of themselves in him. This would allow them to reunite with Naruto at a time when he most needs them. Despite the fact that Kushina had enough life left to tell the third Hokage about Naruto, Minato had regretfully departed away.
Naruto’s Minato’s Memory:
During the battle with Pain, Naruto first meets Minato as he is ready to remove Kurama’s seal. Minato reveals that he is Naruto’s father here. Naruto wants to strike him while blaming him for sealing the beast within him in the midst of this wonderful moment. Minato tells Naruto how proud he is of his son and his progress thus far after Naruto has calmed down. He’s also grateful that Naruto has met some wonderful people in his life who have aided him in his development. Minato then explains to Naruto what the chakra in his nine-tails is for. Minato, unfortunately, did not have many chakras left in him, so he had to say farewell to Naruto a little too soon.
Minato’s Reanimation: Minato is resurrected during the fourth Shinobi war. However, it is revealed that he could have been resurrected much earlier. When Orochimaru faced the third Hokage, the first reanimation was supposed to happen. He summons three coffins at the start of the fight. The First and Second Hokage are resurrected in the first two episodes. The third coffin was Minato’s. Minato had made a deal with the Reaper. Therefore the Jutsu was cut short.
During the fourth Shinobi war, it was Orochimaru who summoned Minato as an ally who could aid in the battle. Minato protects the community once more in this war by shifting the attack that the ten-tailed beast was about to unleash. In battle, he employs both the chakra of the nine-tailed beast, now known as Kurama and half of Naruto’s chakra. Minato loses both arms in this battle, making it a particularly scary one.
Minato’s Farewell: Let’s face it, this is the scene that had us all cry our eyes out. The reanimates’ time came to an end as the war did. One of them was Minato. He wishes Naruto a happy 17th birthday before leaving. Naruto has a deep talk with Minato’s soul as he leaves. The former sends an emotional note to his mother, which his father will later relay to her. Minato “dies” for the second and final time in this scenario.
