Season 2 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has come to a conclusion, leaving fans in tears as many of them were forced to watch the death of a beloved character for the second time. On the other hand, this is also welcome news for fans who have been eagerly awaiting new narrative developments from the series in recent episodes.
Revisiting Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 7:
Rengoku and Akaza’s battle for supremacy has continued. Despite the fact that she has already suffered a number of injuries, the Flame Hashira remains a tough opponent for the Akaza. This leads to the Upper-Rank demon continuing to convince Rengoku that he should join the demons because he is one of the most powerful of the lot. Rengoku continues to resist, and the two fighters continue to fight in close quarters with each other. Rengoku recalls the words of his mother, who told him that he was endowed with such power because he would be able to aid those who were less fortunate. Eventually, Rengoku is able to go near enough to Akaza’s head to hack it off with his sword.
The sun is about to rise, and the two are going all-out to save their lives — Rengoku is attempting to cut off Akaza’s head while the latter is attempting to escape from the former’s hands. For the sake of escaping from Rengoku, Akaza detaches his own arms from his body. As he attempts to flee from the light of day, Tanjiro begins rushing after him and manages to stab Akaza in the back with a sword thrown from behind. He begins to call him a coward as he sobs in his arms.
Rengoku and Tanjiro had a conversation in their final moments. Rengoku communicates with his family through Tanjiro, who relays his communications. He also advises Tanjiro to pay a visit to his family home in order to learn more about the Hinokami Kagura technique, which he believes may be available there. Rengoku notices that the spirit of his mother has appeared as he is having a conversation with Tanjiro. When his mother is asked if he did well, he responds that she is very proud of him. Rengoku walks by with a grin on his face as he passes.
The premiere date for Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 8 has been set.
Following that will be the Entertainment District storey arc! Sunday, December 5, 2021, will see the release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 8, which will be directed by Hideaki Anno.
