During the festival, Yuyu and Mirei face off in Card Fight Vanguard Season 2 Episode 8. Yuyu Tohya and Megumi went to the baths before the battle began. Tohya decides to make a sacrifice for a woman because the group only has enough money to pay for one bath. In the bathhouse, Megumi walked in and told the two that they could meet when she was done. Danji had a meeting with Haruka before meeting Yuyu, and they discussed Mirei. Haruka was concerned that Danji was overly devoted to Mirei and instilling unrealistic expectations in her mind. Danji confesses that he is doing everything he can to make Marei happy. It’s clear to him that Mirei has changed and that she’s delighted to be back with him. Danji notices Yuyu and Tohya staring at him as he embraces Mirei, but they have no idea who she is. Muirei notices that Danji is acting as if nothing has happened, and inquires about it.
He tells her that these are his pals, and he inquires as to why they are dirty and outside. As a result, Tohya confesses that they have no money left and cannot afford the bathtub. When Mirei recommends that they help each other, they are happy to share a dinner with them.
The event is about to begin when the two head to the bathhouse. After a shower, Mirei is eager to learn more about them, but Danji brings up alternative topics of conversation. Danji discovers that team Blackout is on its way to Daybreak’s headquarters while having ice cream with the two of them.

When the two of them get back to the table, they start eating. Team Blackout is the origin of Yuyu and Tohya, as Mirie discovers. Despite Danji’s best efforts, they are able to tell the truth to one other. After hearing the fireworks, they assumed they’d be able to enjoy the festival, but they had a long-standing feud to resolve.
Since Blackout is known for burning other teams’ banners, Mirei admits that she’s from Daybreak, which is a horrible team. As a form of protest, Yuyu burns down the banners of other teams who seek to dominate over the underdogs. As Mirei points out, Daybreak is in charge of the baddies. On Card Fight, Yuyu assures Mirei that she and Danji can stop things from getting out of hand. Mirei accepts the challenge. He figured that he could help Mirei because she couldn’t see, but she felt the card’s symbols.
When Yuyu vs. Mirei gets underway, it’s Mirei who takes the upper hand. Yuyu explains that he wants to make friends when she asks him why he’s arguing with her. Mirei suspects he’s lying and threatens to show him a real combat and destroy him in a single move if he persists in his deception. This will never happen to Yuyu, who feels Mirei is playing him for fools. Mirei, on the other hand, employs strategies that Yuyu has never seen before to defeat him in a single blow. Tohya discovers that Danji backs Daybreak, which surprises her.
