63rd chapter summary
Chapter 64 spoilers are coming, but first let’s recall what happened in the previous chapter.
To begin the chapter, Boruto goes after Kawaki and asks him what he’s up to. It is Kawaki’s duty to explain to Boruto that the village will be safe if he surrenders to Code and that the Hokage will be safe if he does. As Kawaki prepares to depart, Code declares that this is perfect. Advising Kawaki that someone wants to meet him and that he should do so.
Afterwards, Boruto strikes Kawaki and informs him that Naruto would never have approved of such an act of aggression. As a result, he tells Kawaki, “Fine, but I’ll take care of you.” Both he and Code have activated their Karma in preparation for the fight. Ino and the other sensory ninjas are looking for Kawaki when they find that Boruto has also vanished from the hamlet.
To recap, Boruto is putting up a good fight against Code, but Code just vanishes into thin air. After defeating Boruto, Code begins to explain to him and Kawaki what Karma’s true essence is. His explanation for their increased strength is that the Ohtsutsuki’s strength and experience, which the Karma is a part of, is absorbed into their brains, quickly transforming them into skilled fighters. Using Karma right, Code assures Boruto, he may be as powerful as him. Then, as Code closes in on Boruto’s head, it appears Boruto has figured out how to use this power. As he and Code prepare for the second round, he stands up in his new shape.
Spoilers for Chapter 64
Let’s get started with the spoilers for chapter 64 right now. Some raws for the future chapter have already been released, thus you’ve been warned about spoilers below.
We see Boruto’s new form for the first time in Chapter 64, dubbed “Control,” which begins where the previous chapter left off. As soon as Boruto transforms into this form, Code is a little surprised that Boruto was able to unleash Momshiki’s strength on his first try. Karma’s influence on Boruto, however, has allowed him to retain his sense of self and control over his body, unlike at past times. This could be due to the medications Amado produced for Boruto, according to Ada, who has been watching from afar the entire time.
Boruto retaliates with the help of Momoshiki Ohtsutsuki and his new form. Four shadow clones are sent in to wipe off Code, however the shadow clones lack a Jougun eye or karma markings. Notices the Code and leaves a claw mark on Boruto’s shoulder, shocking Boruto while wiping out all of the replicas. In response to the claw mark, Boruto summons additional clones, and rips it off.
Kawaki, who is observing this fight from the sidelines, notices that the movements are very different from Boruto’s. Ada advises Code to take this conflict seriously so that he doesn’t die before he reaches his full potential, and she says something similar.
We return to Naruto, who is ready for a fight, as Code and Boruto continue their battle. Once Ino is done with Kawaki’s chakra, Boruto will be close to her, so she should give up on Kawaki’s and look for his instead. To prepare for Sage mode, he creates a pair of shadow clones, which he leaves to meditate and gather chakra. Because all of the other warriors are already in the ring, Shikamaru informs Naruto that he will join him in the fight. As Sasuke continues his search for Code, Sai is protecting Amado. Her request is denied by Naruto because he wants her to stay with Himawari in case something happens to either of them.
Kawaki explains to Boruto that Code’s claw marks are formed of both his chakra and his own physical iron, which explains why Boruto can’t absorb them. He also advises Boruto that he doesn’t know how this new power would effect him in the future, so he should not rely on it blindly. After Code explains his plan to Boruto once again and begs Boruto to come along gently, claiming that he will make a huge sacrifice for 10 tails, Boruto, of course, declines to come along calmly and continues to battle.
Ignoring him was the only option. Kawaki is put in a chokehold by Code, who leaps on top of him. A girl wants to meet with him, and Kawaki is the real reason he came here. Breaking free of Code’s clutches, Kawaki pauses to take a breather and recharge his batteries.
Naruto and Shikamaru, as Naruto claims, are in close proximity. In Sage mode, he tells Shikamaru he can sense Boruto’s chakra and an unknown chakra that is 40 kilometres distant. Shikamaru is concerned that Naruto won’t be able to maintain Sage mode for long, but Naruto reassures him that he has gained wiser with age and can now maintain his form for longer periods of time than before.
The chapter ends with Boruto grabbing his chest and falling to one knee as he continues his battle with the Code. Despite his best efforts, Kawaki is unable to speak as he lies still on his back, still gripping his chest. As Boruto continues to tumble, Ada and Code stand by and watch him succumb to his injuries. Putting an end to the chapter at that point.
