The beloved anime Attack on Titan has published a new picture ahead of the second part of the final season. The sitcom is approaching the second part of its fourth season, and its last season, which will begin airing January 9, 2022. The new graphic features the protagonist of the program, Eren Jaeger, with fractals around the right side of the image. These fractals comprise images of crucial personalities and influential experiences that have shaped Eren who he is, leading up to the finish of his adventure in the Final Season Part 2. The last stretch of episodes will begin with episode 76 named “Danzai,” or Judgement, so there is likely to be a lot in store.
Attack on Titan is an anime based on the manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama. The last season is being produced by MAPPA, with main director Jun Shishido and director Yūichirō Hayashi. The highly regarded soundtrack for the program will be composed this season by Hiroyuki Sawano, Kohta Yamamoto, and with Masafumi Mima as sound director.
Attack on Titan, which debuted in 2013, started as a post-apocalyptic narrative focused on Eren Jaeger, a young man living in a world where the vestiges of mankind dwelt in a fortified town sheltering them from the huge humanoid Titans. However, after watching a Titan kill his mother, Eren pledges revenge.
The program has grown into a dark fantasy, with Jaeger becoming a type of antihero. Part 2 of the last season will take up straight after part 1, with Eren’s goal to sterilize the Eldians, a race of individuals who can become Titans, and therefore exterminate the Titans altogether. Although he has temporarily alienated Mikasa and Armin, Eren and his pals have always been the core of the show, and it will likely all come down to the three of them. If this new image hints at anything, it seems to underline the value of all the people and events who have made Eren who he is now, especially his greatest friends.
The new season will debut January 9, 2022.
