In the last 2 episodes, Mushoku Tensei debuted 2 new characters, Vella and Shella to anime viewers. Vella rapidly attracted the attention of Mushoku Tensei fans, all thanks to the provocative dress. Vella’s attire was one of the reasons why the fight between Paul and Rudues worsened. Rudeus criticized Paul for forcing Vella to wear the provocative attire. Paul got angry and punched Rudy in the face.
There is a terrible reason behind Vella’s attire which has been detailed in the light book series, but wasn’t incorporated in the anime adaptation. To avoid fans from obtaining a mistaken idea, author of the series Rifujin na Magonote tells Vella and Shella narrative on his Twitter account.
“Vella and Shella are sisters who were adventurous in the realm of Fittoa. Due to the awful experiences she endured after the “Teleportation Incident”, Shella developed a phobia towards men, therefore Vella wears an extremely exposed armor so that the men’s gazes land on her and not on her sister. This effect was plainly shown on his first meeting with Rudeus” he wrote.
The author continued in the next tweet:
“Vella takes care of Norn when Paul is drinking. She is a good girl.
Paul ran to booze in despair, but not to women, therefore there is no physical tie between the two“

The Mushoku Tensei anime is based on the light novel series authored by Rifujin na Magnonote. The light novel series is already concluded with 24 volumes. Currently, Mushoku Tensei season 1 part 2 is running on Funimation and Muse Asia. The anime is developed by Studio Bind, which has long term aspirations for adapting the Mushoku Tensei series.
Mushoku Tensei series depicts the narrative of a 35 year old guy, who becomes reincarnated into a realm of magic and swords. He had many regrets in his past life, so when he receives the second chance, he promises to live his life without regrets.
