The Kingdom Plot
Xin and Piao, two war orphans, living in poverty in the Kingdom of Qin, are servants. They were born during ancient China’s Warring States era.
They aspired to be the “Great Generals of the Heavens,” and that was their goal. A minister once took Piao to the palace, leaving Xin behind while Piao was taken away.
A few months later, Piao makes his way back from the edge of death to the hamlet and asks Xin to go with him to another community.
There, Xin meets the current king of Qin, Ying Zheng, who is virtually identical to Piao. After that, Xin realizes that Piao was Ying Zheng’s alter ego and was injured in a struggle for the crown.
Even though Xin was initially angry with Ying Zheng for causing Piao’s death, he then chooses to take advantage of the situation by taking the leadership of his younger brother Cheng Jiao and reclaiming the Kingdom.
After that, a happy Xin joins the military as a Qin soldier. He begins working toward his ambition of being the “Greatest General in the World” very shortly after that. Immediately.
