Twenty-one episodes have been confirmed for Season 2, which will air from April 2021 through August 2021, with more to come. On July 7, 2017, the first volume of the series was released. Twenty volumes had been released by that day, on March 8, 2021.

On February 7, 2019, an anime television series adaptation was revealed alongside Beastars in the 10th edition of Weekly Shonen Champion.

Bandai Namco Pictures produced the 23-part animated series directed by Makoto Moriwaki and animated by Bandai Namco Pictures. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu composed the series, and Akimitsu Honma composed the music.
