Baji and Kazutora were both convicted of past crimes. This caused a conflict between them and Mikey who still wants Baji back to Toman. Takemichi must complete a huge task in “Tokyo Revengers Episode 17”: bring back Baji.
Official spoilers for the next episode, entitled “No Way”, reveal Takemichi meeting Chifuyu Matsuno (First Division vice-captain), who was previously beaten up in the previous episode.
Chifuyu says to Takemichi that he thinks Baji may have an ulterior motive for joining Valhalla. Toman can benefit from Baji’s joining of the rival gang, he says.
He has a theory. He believes that Baji has infiltrated Valhalla to rid himself of Kisaki Tata. It is yet to be seen if Takemichi will use this information to convince Mikey Baji in Valhalla is a positive thing.
