God of High School Season 1 ended with a finale episode that aired on Crunchyroll yesterday. This was when we got to see Jin Mori’s true strength against Jeanne Mol. It was God versus God and saw some extraordinary action. A lot of things happened in the recent finale and that left many things for the future season of the anime.
Crunchyroll has yet to announce a second season for the series. The first season was announced in July and gained much popularity. Although the script was very poor, MAPPA did a great job in choreography and animation of major conflicts. It was a bad decision to bounce things off in just 13 episodes because this anime could have been better if they had given time to everything. Somehow, the anime was rated high among fans and Crunchierol will likely renew the anime for a second season in the following year.
Jin Mori, Han Dewey, and Yu Meera stood for the tournament, according to the newly formed member of six. This woman made her appearance in the closing moments of the finale and she was the one who would fulfill the wishes of the winners. Only one of them can achieve his wish. Jin Mori was desperate to find out where his grandfather might be but he grabbed his nerve and wished to heal all those injured during the tournament. His wish was accepted and all except the dead were healed and the women shrunk a little girl. She was one of the deities who offer charcakes and gin mori, the same type. Jin Mori will travel to a distant country to learn more about the country he appeared in as the final battle. His memories of this god are sealed and only one place can unlock those for him.
As his grandfather, Knox holds him somewhere in prison. During his fight with the Knox leader, Jin Taejin was badly injured and even looked like he was missing an arm. In a tizzy, his grandfather was thinking that Jin Mori, of his own will, could face any opponent, even his grandfather. This means that Knox could at some point resort to using Jin Taejin. Mori is very fond of his grandfather and could have offended him a lot.
The God of High School tournament was a big mess, to say the least. Knox planned to sabotage the entire tournament from the beginning, while The Six were also planning a major win in the tournament. Park Mujin now plans to occupy the country after advancing his candidate in the presidential election, while Nax will try to do the same. I wish we knew more about Nax and the members of The Six. Hopefully, we will do so next season. The fights for the final episode were well done and made the anime worth watching.
